Parenting is a constant learning process for me. In the past year or so, I have found that my most insightful parenting lessons are coming from: my own children. I am attempting something a little different with my summer work schedule this year. A few months back, I was thinking about the kids’ summer break and what my hopes and goals were around it. Last week, we decided to take a little family adventure road trip before the end of Christmas break. I’ve written about our interest in having family micro adventures before HERE. And this getaway fits the bill. We love creating shared experiences with our kids. We all benefit and learn from being together. Last week we spent a week at the beach near St Augustine. It was wonderful and just what the doctor ordered. Although we love traveling to new places very much, this is the other type of vacation that we love – a home away from home type vacation.
