We are in the midst of getting packed up for a family trip to California tomorrow. Our adventure will start in San Francisco, then have us hopping into a converted camper van for 6 nights of camping in Yosemite and Big Sur, then finishing up with a couple days back in San Francisco. Two weekends ago we met our good friends for a little family camping at Torreya State Park. It is about a 3-hour drive north for us and is located on the Apalachicola River. The landscape in this section of Florida is so different than the rest of the state. There are actually hills and changes in elevation. Last weekend we headed out on a little microadventure to the Kennedy Space Center. Having lived in Florida almost my whole life, I had never been.
